KEPROS MOUNTAIN 7/25/25
Boise Grand Slam peak #2: Kepros Mountain. This hike was about twice as long as my first Grand Slam hike, and therefore kicked my ass even more. I might actually need to train a bit for the remaining two.
I wanted to start my hike around 11am to noon, but work in the morning was crazier than expected, so I didn't get out there until 2pm. Got back to my car at the end of the hike at 8pm. High temp that day was about 90 degrees, but the heat doesn't bother me. Didn't see a single other person the whole hike.
About halfway through my ascent the sole of my shoe became half detached, so that was fun. Also about halfway through I could see the peak I was aiming for, and it looked so close, but it was still so, so far away. At least I learned that my 1.5L CamelBak is just about the perfect amount of water for a long hike like that.
