Hiking Cervidae Peak, my first of the Grand Slam Peaks. I've been told it is both the hardest of the four and the easiest of the four. I can't give an opinion until I've done all four. Either way, it kind of kicked my ass. But it was a beautiful day, dampened only by seeing smoke from wildfires on hills across the highway. Wildfires were extremely bad in 2024. During this hike I was accompanied by the constant sound of firefighting planes grabbing water from the reservoir below and dumping it on the fires nearby.
